Join us for a dinner of soup, bread, and dessert on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 from 4:30-6:00 pm as we work to fight hunger.
Music as you dine will be provided by our Community Pick Up Band and you can take home a handcrafted ceramic bowl or platter made by students from the Hampden Academy Art Program. All donations will benefit the Hampden Neighborhood Food Cupboard.
The Empty Bowls Project started in 1990 with the basic idea that participants create ceramic bowls, then served a simple meal of soup and bread. Guests get to choose a bowl during the event and keep it as a reminder of the empty bowls in the world. In exchange for the meal, the guest makes a donation. Monies are given to a hunger-fighting organization, which in our case is the Hampden Food Cupboard.
